 Ansonia Ruby Porcelain Clock. "Wisdom" #24749This is an absolutely stunning Ansonia porcelain clock. It is called "Wisdom" and is listed on page 596 of Tran Duy Ly's book on Ansonia clocks. It has a completely restored 8 day, half-hour Cathedral Gong striking movement. It is 11" tall and 11" wide. It has a French or Rococo Sash, 5 inch Cream porcelain Dial with Roman Numerals. It originally came in rich cobalt, green or Ruby. This brilliant Ruby case is in excellent condition with sprigs of blue/purple and yellow/violet flowers. There is only minimal wear to the gold as seen in the photographs and two very tiny places along the bottom where there is paint wear - not chipped. What an outstand example of this period.
